Binaisha Haria is a British born specialist media planner, currently based in Australia.
She earned her degree from Wollongong University where she majored in communications and media studies, with a major in digital media and communications and a minor in marketing communications and advertising. This lead her to combine the fields of marketing, media arts, and communications. |
In her creative works, she works experiments with a variety of different mediums and media styles to create works that offer a window into the changing world of technology and marketing. Her media artworks explore elements of sound, video, and photography, incorporating these into the marketing world. Her works look to educate people on the changing technological world through various projects ranging from podcasts, marketing and research reports and media arts. Her multifaceted and unique approach to marketing stems from the exploration of changing media styles, thus allowing her work to explore the aspects of social and guerrilla marketing, which include elements of the unexpected, drastic, action, desire and attention. Binaisha’s inspiration to bridge together media arts and marketing comes from the McCann Advertising Agency, who utilise creative ambition, innovation, and various mediums to produce memorable content for their clients. Central to this is the relationship between society and subjectivity, through the influence of changing technologies.
